Get excited Brisbane, HootSuite is in town!

Wow Brisbane is getting excited as the HootSuite HootUp event is just over 2 weeks away!

Yes #HootUpBNE hosted by (me) Adel de Meyer and my fellow #HootAmb Florent Le Mens is on the 19th of August right here in beautiful and sunny Brisbane Australia.



SO, why is there so much excitement going on?





"From humble beginnings come great things" - HootSuite

Well when it comes to HootSuite, what is there NOT to be excited about? I mean honestly, they run the world's best social media management tool, their CEO rocks and the team of Owls that runs the show in Canada are super-human. Yes they have some special powers, and you have to when you have 9 million users world-wide to keep happy and coordinate over 580 busy HootSuite Ambassadors globally.

HootSuite also re-branded this year to a more simple and sleek look with their new black 'n white logo. You can read more on the HootSuite blog about this change.



Ahhh and on that note now that we are talking about the team at HootSuite, I just remembered this cool video that takes a look at 'HootLandia' - Enjoy!

O and I cannot continue without sharing the team's Harlem Shake - Yes 'Harlem Shake HootSuite Style'!

Ok now that you had a good giggle at the dog and the HootSuite team, let me tell you about #HootUpBNE. A HootUp is a casual and usually free event hosted by HootSuite ambassadors world wide to meet other HootSuite users and people wanting to learn more about the product. I've been an ambassador since January 2014 and was thinking it is time to host this event and spread the HootLove. 

Florent and I are putting together the final touches for the event happening in just over 2 weeks time - Eeeeek getting very excited - bounce, bounce! We are planning to give all attendees the time of their life while learning more about HootSuite, some social media tips and tricks and having some drinks while networking with like-minded people.

We are geared up with some awesome HootSuite swag that arrived with love from Canada. And to make the event even more awesome there will be yummy finger foods to nibble on - including lots of cheese, who doesn't love cheese? O you don't love cheese? Thanks, more for the rest of us ;)

We have a very awesome guy joining us at HootUpBNE and he is going to chat about social media and growing online communities - his name is Matt Murray.
